Last Years Derby Winner

The 2009 Derby was won by Sea The Stars, ridden by Mick Kinane. Happily we had picked the winner this year for a change. He beat the favourite Fame and Glory very easily, with plenty left in the tank when it took the lead with a furlong and a half to go.

Having won all 8 races he ran in, he retired in October 2009 to go to stud. He is now in the process of siring a new generation of possible Derby winners. Will any be as good as he was? You can pick this years winner today.
